The activities of UNFOLD are continuing after the end of the project, although at a lower level of intensity.

The Learning Networks for Learning Design (LN4LD) site at http://moodle.learningnetworks.org/ will continue to provide the project forums, example UoLs, learning activities, eetc.

A number of other projects are picking up on some aspects of the work done by UNFOLD. For example,

• TENCompetence will support individuals, groups and organisations in Europe in lifelong competence development by establishing the most appropriate technical and organizational infrastructure, using open-source, standards-based, sustainable and innovative technology. There are significant resources allocated to the development of Units of Learning and tooling for IMS LD. There will also be scope for joining the project as an associated partner, and extensive dissemination activities.
• The ProLearn Network of Excellence will be giving a higher profile to Learning Design now that UNFOLD has finished.
• The OpenDock project (Leonardo) will be working with Units of Learning in the Vocational Education and Training sector (no public link yet available)
